The Chaos We Call Life

recognizing the beauty in chaos

Marriage & Family 1.2

I am 3 weeks shy of successfully completing my first semester of my graduate program. It has absolutely flown by. I have been able to dive into not only my past but also my family’s past. It has been so interesting to see how generational patterns connect from generation to generation. I realize that exploring these things is not for everyone, but I do recommend it.

I think that the thing I have learned the most from  this program is that no matter who you are or where you come from, YOU create your own future. Yes, we have generational traumas and generational patterns, but guess what. . . you have the power to change that.

Personal processing is a difficult task to complete. I have learned that even though the past directly affects you, it doesn’t define you.

Being a part of the cohort I am in, has already changed my life and I know it will continue to do so. We have all been able to open up and help each other decipher things that I would never share with anyone else.

I am in the process of writing a twelve page paper on my family of origin. Maybe I’ll share it with all of you.

Check back to find out!
