Expect the Unexpected

Life is like a roller coaster. No. Life is a roller coaster. It is a ride that we voluntarily get on, knowing it’ll have ups and downs with adrenaline. What we don’t know when we get on, is how intense those ups and downs will be. 

About a month ago in my marriage and family theories class, I was practicing an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) skill. We were asked to think of a small saying that was weighing on our mind. Mine was “life frickin sucks”. After repeating that over and over again, out loud I began to realize that life does suck. I also realized that it’s okay to think life sucks, because it does have sucky parts about it. While life sucks, there is still beauty in it. While we have the lows we have the beautiful highs. 

I have learned a tremendous amount of things over the last three to four months. A big part of that being to lean on my supports. I don’t have to do this thing called life alone. With that, Kaden and I are moving!! We have spent the last few weeks packing up our lives…saying goodbye to friends and family to move away from Idaho. 

We will be moving in with Mark and Jana for the time being. A decision not made lightly on either end (I’m sure). We are so beyond grateful. We are so excited to be with some of Kaden’s siblings and family. We are so excited.

Life frickin sucks. However, life is also pretty amazing.
