The Chaos We Call Life

recognizing the beauty in chaos

About Me

Ashley Lauren Todd Ludlow

I graduated high school in 2017 from Phil Campbell High School. Soon after, I moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to attend The University of Southern Mississippi where I quickly became interested in helping children. I declared Child and Family Studies as my major with a minor in Child Development.
In early 2022, I moved to Rexburg, Idaho to continue my education at Brigham Young University – Idaho where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Marriage and Family Studies. While attending BYUI, I gained a passion for advocating for those who do not feel as if they have a voice.
In late 2023, I began working on and off on writing my first book “To The Mountains & Back”; a book about the life of a young southern bell who moved out west to find the love of her life. (typical hallmark movie)
While I continue to work on my book, I want to make a difference in people’s lives quicker than any book can be on the shelves of a bookstore. This means I decided to start a blog.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Kairos University. I hope to specialize in contextual style therapy while focusing on couples, mental health (OCD, Anxiety), as well as intellectual disabilities.
I hope this blog will help you feel like you are not alone in your life journey. Through my many battles in life, I know all too well the feeling of being lost and alone. I hope that I can prevent you from feeling lost and alone.

Mr. Dutch and Miss Kitty

Mr. Dutch is a blue merle Bichon Frise Poodle. He was born December 24, 2018 and came to live with me in March of 2019. Dutch has survived more than any dog should have to go through in their life. Dutch has traveled across the country for me and done so multiple times. He sleeps right between my husband and me every night. He licks my tears away and I share my chips with him.

Miss Kitty joined our small family in August of 2023. We adopted her from a shelter when she was only 12 weeks old, with almost perfect timing. Miss Kitty took a solid 72 hours to warm up to Dutch but the moment she did, she never slowed down. She and Dutch fight like they were meant to be siblings. I have never watched a cat and dog get along as well as Dutch and Miss Kitty do.

Kaden Hayes Ludlow

I met Kaden at a game night in the middle of January 2022. It was approximately three weeks after I had moved to Idaho and three weeks after I began classes at Brigham Young University – Idaho. Kaden is the most kind and gentle person that I know, even if I am a little biased.
Kaden is currently in school at BYU-I for Business Finance with a minor in Financial Planning (go to him for all of your financial needs). Kaden works tirelessly to get through school so he can begin working in his desired field. He attends Wealth Management Society meetings and attends a study group for Series 65.
Kaden has also dedicated his life to supporting me. He is by far, my greatest cheerleader. He lifts me up when I am down and he is my strength when I am weak. Kaden had no idea what he was getting into when he married me and he may never know but he tackles every trial with a smile on his face.
